Shipping

We can ship most species of birds. Please read through the following information if you are considering shipping your new pet!

OUR RECOMMENDATION: For best results, we recommend using Pack Your Pets Pet Travel as they are located right here in Wichita, KS and we can easily work out the logistics of getting your new bird from us to them. We have already been in contact with Pack Your Pets and they can transport birds by ground regionally and by airplane (this is the Air Capital after all!). You can contact Pack Your Pets by phone at 316-768-7978. We encourage you to visit their website and Facebook page for additional information and contact details.

REQUIRED DOCS: Depending on where and how your bird will ship, significant documentation (i.e. health certifications, disease checks, etc.) may be necessary to obtain prior to shipping. Pack Your Pet will let you know exactly what will be needed and we can work directly with them to ensure they receive all required documents in a timely manner. There will be fees incurred for any veterinary expenses and testing and for us collecting and delivering required documents on your behalf. Please note that obtaining required documentation can be time consuming and veterinary fees and testing fees are sometimes high.

ENDANGERED SPECIES: Certain species are listed with CITES as being endangered. While it is not impossible to transport endangered species, it is extraordinarily difficult. Specialized documents must be obtained from the Federal Government – this can be a long and arduous process. We will let you know if a species you select is on the CITES list.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: We can accept debit and credit card payments over the phone as well as PayPal, ApplePay, and more. We can also accept personal checks, cashier’s checks, and money orders sent via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. We will send a digital contract to you via DocuSign.

ADDITIONAL INFO/OUR THOUGHTS: Unless time is a factor, the most cost-effective option would be to pick up your new bird here in Wichita, KS. Fuel, meals, and a very nice pet-friendly hotel would likely be less costly than transporting your bird using a specialized transport service. Ultimately, it is very convenient picking up your new pet from the airport or having them delivered to your doorstep, however, keep in mind that this will not be a cheap alternative to picking up your bird yourself. Professional pet transportation would be best for you if cost is not a factor and you are simply trying to save yourself the time of driving to us.
